Big Talbot is beautiful state park with a beach lovingly called “The Driftwood Beach” a few times a year I’ll make my way down there with clients for sessions. This past year was no exception.
I’m not sure how it’s happened but 2014 and 2015 have flown by. When I was younger I remember having a conversation with my late grandfather about how long a year goes by, he was already pretty elderly. He and my grandmother were almost 20yrs apart and didn’t have my dad till he was 40! But anyway, I remember sitting on the porch with him talking about having to wait an entire year for Christmas to come back around again and he told me that as you get older the years go by faster and faster, before I know it years will fly by like blinking your eyes. Little did I know how much truth there was to that statement! I’m by no means ancient but the last two years have gone by so much faster than I could have imagined! In efforts to keep my blog from being too far behind I’d like to share some photos from this past Spring mini sessions at the driftwood beach here in Jacksonville ๐
The moment I took the next photo I knew exactly what I would do with it. Every year Shelly brings her little girl Charlie to me for photos, she’s the tiniest little thing and so incredibly adorable! But, she is full of sass and attitude!!! She was not excited about doing photos this day, even though we had waited for other clients to arrive, enjoyed a juice box and everything she still wasn’t the most cooperative, but I love this image!
Then I got a smile! Little stinker can’t be sour for too long, not at the beach! This baby loves the sand!
Moving onto the next session of the day my very own niece and nephew! You’d think after all these years they would be used to having a camera in their faces! Sydney is and models for the camera, another one full of sass, Will doesn’t really have the time to be bothered to sit still much less actually take a photo!
My little model!
I’m a pretty patient photographer, you have to be with children, so if I just wait long enough these two will give me something heartwarming, and good enough for Grandma! Thankfully!!!
While Will has zero interest in having his photo taken, he is very interested in photography and video… So I have a feeling I will soon have a second shooter on my hands!!!
