Teresa and Stephen have a natural, easy love that was a real joy to photograph! Not to mention their reception was at THE Brownstone in New Jersey. Yep, the premier historic landmark that was featured in The Real Housewives of New Jersey and The Sopranos. (!!!)
As awesome as the reception location was, the wedding ceremony was equally as beautiful. Teresa and Stephen chose the St. Paul’s Roman Catholic Church in Prospect Park, the same church Teresa’s parents and grandparents held their ceremony. As guests entered the church, they were encouraged to pick a unique handmade handkerchief for their happy tears.
My favorite moment to capture during the ceremony was the groom’s teary smile as Teresa walked up the altar. Watching Teresa and Stephen say their “I do’s” in front of the same stained glass windows as the generations before, surrounded by incredible architecture, family and friends, was incredible. And that kiss!! Teresa couldn’t stop smiling, even after they left the church.
While their guests began to celebrate at Brownstone, the newlyweds, immediate family, and I headed to Goffle Brook Park. Teresa exchanged her veil for a flower crown, which perfectly matched the fun streaks of pink she had in her hair. After some STUNNING pictures on the emerald teal couch, it was finally time to head inside to parrrrtay! Dancing, drinks, and laughter were the themes for the reception… no one wanted the night to end!
Check out their article on Jacksonville.com too. And stay tuned for their Brooklyn Bridge day after wedding shoot, coming to the blog soon.
This is one of my 2011 couples! Stephen was a groomsman in the wedding.
